God is at work through our mission teams at St. John's! Our members serve in many places, both in our community and beyond. CAREGIVERS Our team of caregivers provides transportation, meals, calls, and various other services to members in need. Their work is coordinated by the Health Ministry Commitee's Caregiver Chairperson. SOUP KITCHEN SERVANT TEAMS Members of St. John's serve as volunteers at Second Presbyterian's Soup Kitchen each Friday. These teams of volunteers enjoy reaching out to the community and connecting with volunteers from other churches through this important ministry. SPARTANBURG INTERFAITH HOSPITALITY NETWORK (SPIHN) SUPPORT TEAM St. John's reaches out to homeless families through participation as a support church for SPIHN. This ministry provides temporary shelter, food, and support for local homeless families in a caring atmosphere. MISSION OUTREACH From time to time, members of St. John's travel to other states to participate in mission projects. Volunteers have traveled to the North Carolina mountains, Mississippi's Gulf Coast, and even Alaska. Youth and adults have traveled, worked, and prayed together as they shared God's love with others across the country.
